The Kompas 100 CEO Forum is one of Indonesia’s most prestigious annual forums, gathering top business leaders to discuss the country’s economic direction
Project Overview
For the 13th edition in 2022, I was entrusted to handle the website development of the event’s official microsite.
The website functioned as the central digital hub to broadcast the event’s livestream, showcase schedules, and publish post-event articles — ensuring that both exclusive guests and the public could access up-to-date information.
The site had to be launched before the event, with multiple client-side changes happening during the final stretch. Tight deadlines made coordination vital.
Thanks to smooth collaboration between the Kompas editorial team, designers from Austeread, and myself as developer, we kept changes fluid and launched on time.
Results & Feedback
The website was successfully launched before the event, fully functioning across all devices.
It received positive feedback from the Kompas team for its stability, usability, and responsiveness.
The site remained live for several months, accommodating continued traffic from post-event readers and media.
I started by reviewing the finalized UI designs from the Austeread team. We discussed the functionality and layout for key pages, including the homepage, event schedule, recap articles, and livestream. This provided a clear direction for the project.
I used Elementor to build each page based on the design mockups. I focused on creating reusable templates for consistency and ensured responsiveness across all devices.
Key features included embedding the YouTube livestream directly on the homepage, integrating custom post types for event updates, and optimizing SEO using the Yoast SEO plugin.
I conducted thorough cross-browser and multi-device testing to ensure the site was functional and visually appealing. Performance was optimized, and accessibility checks were performed.
After presenting the staging site, I applied last-minute revisions based on client feedback and ensured everything was ready for launch within the tight timeline.
The site was migrated to the live server and final checks were made during the Kompas 100 CEO Forum 13. Post-launch, I provided support and maintenance guidelines to ensure continued site performance.
